BuildingReports® Monthly Product Updates 2026

Stay updated with the latest from BuildingReports! In order for our Service Membership network to have the most current tools and services for the benefit of their customers, we consistently enhance our offerings and services. The most recent updates, designed in response to our member network’s feedback, reflect our dedication to continuous improvement.

March 2026

BRForms

  • Managers can now add, modify, and remove building links from BRForms inspections, even without inspection privileges. This added flexibility allows organizations to manage inspection records more efficiently while keeping responsibilities aligned with user roles.

Dashboard

  • The ScanHistory widget now clearly displays and links to inspections that contain device information. Users can confidently access related inspection reports directly from the widget, ensuring smooth navigation and quick access to important data.

Get Reports

  • Emails sent from the Discrepancy Quick View now automatically include the Service Authorization Legal Text stored in the Organization tab of Setup. This ensures that when proposed solutions are shared with building owners, important legal language is consistently included, providing clarity, transparency, and added protection for your organization.

IROL Integration

  • Members submitting reports to IROL through multiple branch web portals will now experience a more seamless submission process, supporting consistent workflows across locations.

NotificationManager

  • Notifications without body text are now formatted to align more consistently with common email server security settings.
  • System handling of blank subject or body text has been strengthened to help ensure notifications continue flowing without interruption.

ScanSeries Application for iOS (Current Version 2.41.4)

The latest iOS update introduces several enhancements designed to support smoother inspections, clearer data handling, and a more streamlined mobile experience:

  • The device list in ScanSeries now allows users to collapse device grouping headers based on the selected sort order. This enhancement makes it easier to navigate inspections with large numbers of devices, helping users move through device lists more quickly and stay focused on the task at hand.
  • Users accessing BRMobile through Single Sign-On (SSO) will now experience a smoother login process, eliminating repetitive login prompts and supporting uninterrupted access to the app.
  • Device photo management has been strengthened across the ScanSeries apps, allowing users to confidently remove photos when needed. Additionally, photo functionality has been refined so that images remain device-specific. As part of this clarification, photos can no longer be added to failed sound tests, since sound tests apply to multiple devices rather than a single device.
  • Several updates were introduced to strengthen barcode and Scan ID accuracy and consistency. When a previously deleted barcode is re-added, the associated Scan ID is now properly restored, and inspection dates display accurately. Uploads also maintain complete Scan ID information, supporting full report accessibility. Together, these enhancements help preserve data integrity and ensure reports open and function as expected.
  • The Quick Entry workflow has been refined to prevent unintended changes between Location and Address fields when entering device information. This supports greater confidence in stored inspection data.
  • When attempting to download a building without proper access, users will now see clear and informative messaging, helping reduce confusion and streamline troubleshooting.

ScanSeries Branded Reporting

  • The “Industrial” image option for branded reports has been optimized with a reduced image size. This adjustment decreases overall report file sizes, resulting in faster downloads and more efficient storage.

ScanSeries Healthcare Reporting

  • New “TJC Select Device Group Report” formats are now available for: FireScan, SafetyScan, SprinklerScan, SuppressionScan. Developed in response to hospital feedback, these formats group reports into structured sections similar to legacy EC/LS formats, while incorporating the new for 2026, updated PE codes. They’re especially useful for teams who organize documentation in binders with index tabs, offering both familiarity and modern compliance alignment.
  • A select-system version of the ACHC healthcare report for SprinklerScan has been introduced. This format allows users to choose which sprinkler systems within a building are included in the report, offering greater customization and presentation flexibility.

ScanSeries Standard Reporting

  • The FireScan device editor now provides a more seamless save experience when edits are made. This enhancement supports uninterrupted workflows and a more consistent editing process during inspections.

SchedulingManager

  • An optional “Created by” column is now available in the Agenda view of the calendar. When added to your active view, this column displays who created each event and is included in exported data or clipboard copies. This provides additional visibility and insight into scheduling activity across teams.

Setup

  • The system now reliably saves the selected Organization Manager User ID. This ensures BuildingReports consistently recognizes the primary contact for each member organization, helping maintain accurate communication and administrative clarity.

February 2026

Accounts Manager

  • The Building Edit button on the Buildings tab now displays an updated label, making it clear when you’re editing an existing building versus adding a new one. This small refinement helps reduce confusion and keeps workflows intuitive.

BRMobile

  • Date pickers used when creating generic events and service tickets now support future dates beyond previously available dates. This update ensures long-term scheduling works smoothly without extra workarounds.

Dashboard

  • A new widget, “Total Devices Tested by App per Month,” is now available. This widget makes it easy to compare monthly device counts across apps, helping teams better understand inspection activity at a glance.

Device Editor

  • Entering sensitivity values is now faster and easier. You can now mass enter or edit sensitivity values for Smoke Detector and Duct Detector devices using the new Apply Sensitivity button in the Device Editor within the online report. Filters allow you to quickly target specific devices, making this especially helpful when entering values from a control panel report.

DocDrive

  • Document lists now sort dates precisely in both ascending and descending order, making it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for when managing files.

HubSpot Integration

  • The HubSpot authentication flow has been streamlined so users are now able to go directly to the appropriate page after connecting their account, creating a smoother onboarding experience.

  • New Individual TJC EP Reports based on the 2016 code reference standard are now available, ensuring continued access to legacy code groupings and historical reporting formats.
  • TJC reports now present the Sound & Visual Testing section as a standalone section following PE, EC, and LS content for improved clarity.

  • The System Control Unit section has been removed from SprinklerScan TJC healthcare reports where it does not apply.
  • Device totals in SafetyScan healthcare reports now calculate with greater accuracy for Annual and Monthly services.

ScanSeries Standard Reporting

Standard reports continue to gain helpful detail and reliability improvements:

  • Reports have been improved to generate even when a signature image is present without a valid date or time stamp.

ScanSeries Service Authorizations

Service Authorization labels and visibility have been refined for clarity and consistency:

  • The “Fixed” column has been renamed to “Authorized” to better reflect its purpose.
  • The “Authorized” column now appears only when Service Authorizations are enabled in Organization Settings, avoiding confusion for teams not using the feature.
  • Manager-type users can now access the “View” button regardless of Service Authorization settings, ensuring devices can always be marked as addressed when needed.

Web Portal

  • Forgotten password emails now include a user’s full name in addition to their User ID, making account recovery messages clearer and more personal.

WebSkins

  • WebSkins now support DKIM, helping ensure emails sent using a member’s email address successfully pass DMARC checks. Members interested in setting up a DKIM key can contact Member Services for assistance.

January 2026

Accounts Manager

  • Primary action buttons in the Accounts interface have been refreshed for better clarity and ease of use. Buttons are now larger and include descriptive text, making it easier to understand exactly what each action does at a glance.

Dashboard

  • To help keep dashboards clean and intentional, widgets that are already added will now display a green icon next to their name. This makes it easy to see which widgets are already active and prevents duplicates from being added unintentionally.

ScanSeries Healthcare Reporting

Healthcare reporting continues to evolve with the latest standards:

  • All TJC formats have been updated to the new 2026 PE formats, maintaining the familiar visual style while aligning report sections with the updated PE standards. Members who wish to continue using legacy TJC formats can reach out to Member Services for assistance.

  • The Inspection & Testing Report section in the SafetyScan TJC format has been refined to ensure consistent, accurate formatting.

  • New “removed” and “replaced” indicators now appear after device test dates, providing a quick visual reference to help readers easily understand device status at a glance.

FireScan

  • FireScan now supports additional device types, giving technicians more flexibility when inspecting, testing, and maintaining a wider range of systems and equipment. Newly supported device types include Fire Curtain, Low-Frequency Sounder/Strobe, Master Control Station, and Multi-Sensor Alarm.

SprinklerScan

  • SprinklerScan now includes support for the Flame Detector device type, allowing technicians to track inspection, testing, and maintenance for an additional type of initiating device.
